"Pet sins" are definitely a place where I struggle and I honestly do not "dismiss" them, but am in constant prayer over them and they absolutely "easily beset me". When we struggle with them it is nice to know that we have forgiveness but what is the solution to making them go away?

Sometimes in fact tragedy in a believers life can come from the evil one. Who will gladly make us miserable to shut us up or to have us question God's goodness. Also tragedy happens on this earth as a result of original sin (death and sickness happen to everyone).

Amen Bruce, I thank God that Jesus was up-right and tuff. He went to the Cross for my sins and others, but I look at it, he died for me. We have a war going on around us at all time. The word tells us When we have done all to stand, stand. We need to fight the good fight of faith. I put my head down many of time I say Why Lord? We have people around us that yes need to see a Jesus of Love, but at the same time they need to see a strong Jesus.
What are we, what am I showing the people around me. Do they see a Jesus in "All" things I Do, or do they see a "Sunday" Jesus. The world today need to see a Strong Jesus. Yes, I can forgive you of "ALL Things" So what if man will not but I do. Yes, I am the Jesus that will Heal you. Yes, I am the Jesus that will meet your needs. Yes, I am the Jesus that is coming back..... But I am coming back for the "Church" that is Looking, Living, Sharing the power of the Cross.
What are they seeing in me? What are they seeing in the church today? Look to the East for I am coming, No man knows the hour. If he would come today what would we say? What would I say? Please Forgive me Lord...

People including myself sometimes forget that we are in spiritual warfare, we have an enemy that wants us dead and his followers also want us to be silenced. As I think about people such as our missionaries that risk their lives every day of the week to spread the gospel, they get it, they understand that we are not on this earth to be "comfortable" but to be useful to God. My duties on earth are to try and keep people from the punishment and judgement that I myself deserve if not for Christ. Shame on me for thinking I deserve comfort and crying like a baby to God when the littlest things don't go my way.

I want to say first thank you Brad for being open. I ask the Lord to show me areas and things I need to change or remove from my life. The fast life we live today, pressure at work, trying to be strong and a good example at home, around friends and even people we work with. When we sit down for our quite time is it quite? When we go to church and we are Blessed with the word of God and them.... What happen it's Wed. I believe in the "Last Days" God is calling us out and Satan is doing all he can to keep us down.
How do I know this? Because "All" the things THAT Jesus did for me on the cross put a period at the end of the sentance. I need to keep my eyes on him, not looking back at the wrong I have done but reaching out to him.
I pray daily even now, Lord Help me! I want to complete what is right for my Life and then I will help others. My past is not good but I thank God it is Forgiven.

I really like this message. I know for myself, that at different points in my walk with God, it was easy to hear a message Sunday morning and think that was good and as I walk out the door never think about it again. Maybe life needs to just slow down, maybe I didn’t at that point want to change but most of the time it was fear of the unknown. I guess I didn’t fully trust God at his word, I didn’t want to deal with the hurt it would cause me to change, or I just wanted to do it myself (the way I had always done). Even though this is still a struggle of mine from time to time I know that God loves me and is only asking me to repent or turn from what I am doing because he has a better way or plan for my life. He truly loves us and asks these things of us because he loves us.

I agree with Krista, we should be excited about Jesus’ return. It’s easy to live our lives and forget about the simplicity of Christianity. Jesus wants a relationship with us and wants us to be ready and watching for his return. It’s good to be reminded that we need to take time to prepare.

I really like how George put this. There is no better time then now for me to understand what it's like living with expectancy. This gave me a better understanding of what it will be like when Jesus returns. I think that it was something that scared me because of the unknown, and now I have a new outlook on it. I doubt Jesus wants us to be scared, but excited about being with him.

The Sprirt is that "still quiet voice" that tries to lead us. We hear it when begin to be tempted and we choose whether or not to listen to it. To be spirit filled in my opinion is to listen when he speaks and obey, if we can do that we will become all the things that God wants us to be.

True faith is exibited if only we can follow Jesus as you have described here. Can we put God's kingdom ahead of our own and trust God to take care of us. That's faith. Do we trust God or not?
